Tukaram Maharaj Temple at Dehu and Jadhavwadi Dam

Being a religious place, you'll find a normal crowd at Dehu Temple. After visiting the old temple, we move towards new 'Gatha Mandir' (गाथा मंदिर). This temple has carved Shlokas scripted by Tukaram Maharaj. Its a belief that when orthodox people threw those handwritten sholkas into the Indrayani River, the river herself returned them to Tukaram Maharaj after few days. This temple is named after that incident.

Now we start our journey to Jadhavwadi Dam. The road is amazing. It’s decorated with dark yellow flowers on both sides naturally. It makes you feel like its Switzerland. Take your time to click pictures and proceed towards the dam. The road passes over the dam. You can drive bike/car over it. But only one car can pass. Make your evening beautiful while enjoying the calm breeze coming over the waters.
